Nothing says love like Valentine’s Day. Think roses, candlelight… and pegging? America’s diverse sexual tastes were on full display this year. So, when our friends at Mashable asked for some data leading up to the big day, we were happy to provide it!
Our statisticians were curious what terms each state was searching for more often than others. Needless to say, they found some variety in the results!
Some states leaned into the emotional side of sexuality, with New York literally searching “emotional” and Maryland searching for “wedding.” Wyoming was interested in the intimacy of “hugging” and Ohio were all over “cuddling.” North Dakota was searching “intimate” and their neighbors, Minnesota, were searching “passionate.” Last year’s trend of authenticity and respectful sex doesn’t seem to be slowing down.

Other states leaned into kinky terms. On the west coast, they were feeling physical. Washington wanted “spanking” and Oregon wanted “bdsm.” Over in Colorado, they wanted to see “pegging” and Alaska was after some “enema” videos. In Louisianna, they couldn’t get enough “flogging.”
Things don’t always have to be complicated. In Missouri, they simply wanted “wife” and in Pennsylvania, “husband.” Taking it one step further, in New Mexico, they were searching “grandma” and in New Hampshire, they liked “grandpa.” You’re never too old for a little loving.
Vermont was less vanilla, as they searched for “pee” more than other states. In Indiana, they were sniffing around for “queef.”
Love comes in all shapes and sizes. Happy Valentine’s Day! We hope you enjoyed this edition of Insights.
